The concept of White Squall Executive Adventures comes from a belief that when business leaders are talking about the most important things in their business in an open, healthy and transparent environment they win! The sailing adventure helps remove the board room barriers for teams to have these real conversations and make the invisible-visible so that we can be accountable to one another.

I know every person and group is different. I create a custom plan for each trip, working with you beforehand to meet your goals and make it fun. I also understand the sea can worry people because of past bad experiences. At White Squall, we make sailing enjoyable, not scary, and I design the trip to be fun and comfortable—with no seasickness.

The Sailor: I’ve loved the sea my whole life. I learned to sail as a young man in Hamilton Harbour and have kept sailing ever since — along the US East Coast, racing in Australia, and spending thousands of days on Canadian lakes and oceans. It’s my passion.
The Business Leader: I’ve been a corporate coach and facilitator for over 10 years, helping large companies gain strategic clarity, align their teams, and develop leaders. I support accountability and focus building businesses that put people first but profit always.
Meet Jeff and White Squall
The Naval Officer: I served Canada for over 30 years and led many remarkable sailors. That experience taught me that everyone has untapped potential and strength.
The Boat: The Dufour 40 foot performance is a French sailboat designed by Umberto Felci, delivering performance with speed and good upwind capability. You will find the boat spacious and comfortable but fun and exciting to sail in light or heavier winds.
The boat is moored at the Sidney North Saanich Marina and Yacht Club in beautiful Sidney BC. Just 8 minutes from the Victoria Airport and 5 minutes from the BC ferry terminal at Swartz Bay.
Sample itinerary
Every adventure we host is designed with intention, from the atmosphere we create to the way each session flows. A program can be single day or up to a few days.
Costs are based on the customized program considering island accommodation, team composition, specific itinerary and on average costs approximately $1000 per person per day.
Day 01
Your team arrives via the Victoria Airport or BC Ferries, a shuttle takes your group to the North Saanich marina to join White Squall. A quick pre sail briefing then off to the adventure with your team in the leadership positions of the boat. Your first few hours are immersive in sailing and connection arriving at the beautiful resort for dinner.
Day 02
After a restful night, breakfast will be served and then off to conduct our full day. Continued focus on your specific goals and added fun of whale watching, paddleboarding, fishing, hiking or lots of sailing. After a full day of smiling, bonding and sharing in a great adventure you are returned to resort to soak in the hot tubs before dinner and a night with the team.
Day 03
Our final day will be based on travel arrangements. You will be sailors by this point and will be running the boat - challenging one another, continuing with trust and connection building. You will depart and head to the airport to be home with great memories to share and inspired to head back to the office.
Can I get sail training from White Squall?
Yes, we are a qualified sailing school and can train all levels of sailors.
Most executive adventures can end with all team members completing a basic sail certification.
If you are interested in more advanced sail training, White Squall offers custom coursing for all levels of training offered by Canadian Recreational Yachting Association.

What services do you offer?

We offer: 1) one, two and three day team adventures in the waters of British Columbia; 2) facilitation and strategy support throughout North America; 3) leadership training; and 4) sail training.
What about safety?

Your safety is paramount. White Squall surpasses all Transport Canada and Coast Guard safety requirements and I am qualified to the highest levels of navigation and sailing to ensure that your experience is safe and fun.
What about the weather? Seasickness?

All routes take into account the safest path based on the level of adventure that the team wants from flat and mellow to high adventure. White Squall also has wet weather gear to ensure that your visit is warm and comfortable and at the end of each day is a good night’s sleep in luxury accommodations in the Gulf Islands.
